Tío Ronnie’s Weekly Sports Update

1961 -- the year tu Tío was born, can you tell me what other great event happened that year, Bueno mira chico that was the last time the Chicago Blackhawks won a championship, the Stanley Cup. The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Detroit Redwings taking 4 games out of 7. Fast forward 49 years later and the Blackhawks have ended one of the longest championship dry spells in sports history. When they defeated the Philadelphia Flyers, There was no red light, just Blackhawks flying over the boards in celebration.
Sticks and helmets were thrown, scattered all over the ice and still no signal for a goal.

Patrick Kane sneaked the puck past Michael Leighton 4:06 into overtime and stunned the Philadelphia Flyers to lift the Blackhawks to a 4-3 overtime victory in Game 6. ¿Un chingo de sorpresa, que no? In the West, well that team from the immigration reform sate is dead last, alone at the bottom, get ready the fat lady is going to sing.
After sweeping the Blue Jays at Coors Field the Rocks hit the road starting with the Twins, then the Brewers, Red Sox who defeated our Rocks in the Series, on to Anaheim to face the Angels and finishing in San Diego against the Padres. Por dios what a road trip from one side of the country to the other. Back home July 1st to face the Giants, more later. 11.5 out of first? What kinda crap is that? It is times like this that wear tu tio down, Los Indios are 11.5 back, last in the division, a division that has teams ...
