Family fun at Elitch’s Boo Gardens

Photo: Elitch Gardens
Elitch’s Boo Gardens offers children and their families Halloween fun.
Elitch Gardens will present Boo Gardens this weekend, Oct. 23-24, from Noon-5pm, in Elitch Gardens’ Startoon Studios. Children are encouraged to dress up in costume for safe, fun trick-or-treating. $15 admission tickets are available for children and adults at all Denver-area Arc Thrift Stores.
In addition to Boo Gardens’ trick-or-treating, kids can enjoy a variety of contests and shows throughout the afternoon, including a costume contest, Scream-It-Out Challenge screaming contest and Trick-or-Treat and Dance-A-Long starring Bob the Builder.
As part of its annual Fright Fest, Elitch Gardens and PARC Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Elitch Gardens, are collecting children’s Halloween costumes, which will be donated to the Denver Children’s Home. Guests who bring in a new or gently used children’s Halloween costume to Elitch Gardens through Oct. 24 will receive a discounted $24.99 Fright Fest admission. This special ticket is $16 off the main gate price.
“By collecting children’s costumes for the Denver Children’s Home, Elitch Gardens hopes to bring some fun and excitement to the lives of local kids this Halloween season,” said Elitch Gardens General Manager Steve Honeycutt. “Elitch Gardens believes in helping to strengthen the heart, mind, body and spirit of young children in our community.”
“Regardless of economic status, everyone deserves to have a fun and safe Halloween. But for many families, coming up with the means to buy a costume is difficult and can be very disappointing to a child who just wants to participate in the tradition,” said Andrea Silva, East Denver Collaborative Site Coordinator at Denver Children’s Home. “Thanks to the generosity of Elitch Gardens, many kids who would not otherwise be able to take part in the excitement of Halloween will receive great costumes this year. This donation is sure to create dozens of great experiences that children will ...
