Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet launched a new college resource webpage to help Colorado students and families navigate the college application, financial aid and loan process and learn about available resources to make college more accessible and affordable.
“College can be expensive and the application process can be daunting, but they shouldn’t become barriers for any student who has worked hard and wants to go to college,” said Bennet. “Too often, students don’t think they qualify for financial aid, struggle with the application process or accumulate astronomical debt to attend school. This webpage provides important information to help Coloradans navigate these processes.”
Bennet’s “Your Path to College Opportunity” webpage includes information and links about the college search and application processes, financial aid opportunities, federal student loans and student loan repayment options. The page links to step-by-step instructions on how to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), as well as details on the repayment options for federal student loans. The webpage also features lists of federal financial aid opportunities and targeted aid for students depending on their field of study or background.
Bennet has launched the webpage in conjunction with a statewide series of financial aid information sessions he is hosting with College in Colorado to provide students and their families with answers to their questions about the financial aid process.
