Aca: Live it up in luxury
Part 2 of 5

Cristina E. Frésquez, El Semanario Photojournalist

With so many hotels in Acapulco – or Aca --, it’s hard to decide which hotel will ensure a great vacation experience. Depending on your needs and budget, you are sure to find a perfect fit.

One of the most luxurious and highly acclaimed hotels in Aca is the Fairmont Pierre Marques and the Fairmont Princess, also known as the “Sister Hotels”. The Pierre Marques and the Princess are located within a beautiful stroll down the beach from one another, sharing 480 acres of breathtaking land and sandy beach, near Puerto Marqués.

The Pierre Marques offers such an astonishing amount of amenities, wonderful cuisine, service, as well as atmosphere for their guests, that several guests stay for months at a time, considering it as “a home away from home”. It has 335 rooms, suites and private bungalows, with its community-like structure, creating a social environment while maintaining guests’ privacy, all at room rates cheaper than you might expect. The Marques offers a famous tournament 18-hole golf course, 5 tennis courts, 3 pools, beach access, a fitness center, 4 exquisite restaurants, 5 meeting rooms for groups and conventions and nearby water sports.

The Aztec pyramid shaped Princess, holds 1,017 rooms and suites that open into the gigantic open plaza in the center of the hotel, which showcases touring collections of art work, including statues and sculptures. The Princess also provides several luxurious amenities, including an 18-hole golf course, 11 tennis courts – including the outdoor stadium that hosts international tennis tournaments, 4 fresh-water pools, one saltwater lagoon with a water slide, the Willow Stream Spa, a fitness center, 4 exquisite restaurants and a swim-up pool bar, beach access, convention facilities – including theater that seats 2,000, outdoor spaces for private functions and nearby water sports.
