LA DIOSA CORONADA, a New Television Series by Juan Camilo Ferrand Premiered on Telemundo

MIAMI, July 29 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ -- Juan Camilo Ferrand, coauthor of the book "Las Fantasticas, Las Munecas de la Mafia" (Santillana, 2009), now writes for Hispanic television network Telemundo the series LA DIOSA CORONADA, a story about an ex beauty queen who, in her desire to change her life becomes tangled in a world of glamour, models and mafia.
After having co-written the successful TV series "El Cartel" and "Las Munecas de la Mafia", broadcasted in the U.S. and most of Latin America, Juan Camilo Ferrand creates this story exclusively for Telemundo. The main character is a young woman by the name of Raquel Santamaria. Tired of living in poverty, she sets out to make her dream of fame, money, and social recognition a reality.
With over 50,000 copies sold in Latin America, "Las Fantasticas, Las Munecas de la Mafia" (Santillana, 2009) has become an International bestseller while its television counterpart captured a large chunk of the U.S. audience in its 10:00 p.m. slot.
With the television series "LA DIOSA CORONADA", produced by Telemundo Studios in Colombia, Ferrand explores a widespread situation in Latin American countries: the need young people have to build a better life for themselves than the one they had with their parents.
