LAS VEGAS, March 13, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts of the USA, March 12, 2012, the Bureau of Reclamation displayed the Girl Scout logo against a sea of green light on the Hoover Dam. Girl Scouts from surrounding states gathered on the Mike O'Callaghan ? Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge to celebrate. At 7:12 p.m. (1912 military time), Girl Scouts sang happy birthday and then began the countdown to light the dam. The Hoover Dam will remain green through March 17, 2012.
Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada has 100th anniversary celebrations planned throughout 2012 including its upcoming Girl Scout Night with the Las Vegas 51s, May 18, 2012.
